Idea

Ojabox is a Cloud based Project collaboration platform, helping creative teams to host and manage their projects through visual control of all the files, tasks and people, with a state of the art review tool that enables users to review documents, videos, and 3D models all in one place. Helping teams, clients and freelancers store and manage their projects on the cloud, track and control changes, manage version control and ensure security & encryption of files. Our review tool helps users review images, documents and videos frame by frame, as well as saving half the time of 3D creation projects by sharing 3D work (created using any 3D software) for instant comments and feedback in 3D on the web. It’s also a great way to showcase the progress of work with the client and share the work with a link and efficiently finalize more quality work in less period of time. We aim to empower creators, and believe in creating miracles!  


Challenge

As a creative agency, we noticed that our main issues are in the collaboration process, so we have decided to create an online campaign asking 3D professionals about their issues in collaborating and managing projects, and the results were clear, we learned from 120 professionals that their main problems are managing multiple users, software’s, files, tasks as well as accessibility.

And most importantly (we learned that Art Directors, who perform a crucial project management role in 3D projects, said that their main pain is the time wasted in the process of commenting and giving feedback of the work (as creators have to create, render, send file, then receive the comments manually), They told us that this on average is a 40% wasted time of the entire project. Surprisingly, the market does not yet have a fully focused collaboration tool for 3D creators, Existing collaboration tools (such as Trello), offer generic support around development activity or manual tasks, but cannot solve the complex challenges faced by the 3D Art Director. There are some 3d collaboration tools available, but these have been built as side features for 3d creation products such as Modelo – you have to be a user of this product to get access to their collaboration features, which restricts Modelo’s ability to scale their user base. Imesh offers a similar solution only to game development studios, and have just raised 250K to launch this year. 


Solution

Web based collaboration tool for creative projects with the focus on 3D art where creators can manage their files, tasks & people in one place, all is being done visually using our review tool where all files are accessible for everyone in 3-dimensional view and allow people to comment on the models in 3D, as well as images and videos. It also includes a community space for people to create and collaborate on public projects. OjaBox offers the solution to creative working in advanced projects including 3D software users, to collaborate and ensure the management, tracking and file management are fully optimized to improve creative projects. A similar approach to how Github, became the home of 31 million programmers, because of its open collaboration to all developers languages and spaces.

As a creative agency developing 3D, VR & AR solutions, we started working on efficiency and identifying our problems in order to grow as a business, and thorough market research, we found that solutions supporting the technology are flooding the market with showcasing tools, 3D design, and development software, assets and scenes marketplaces and finally jobs. But lacking in efficiency and collaboration space after a deep dive into the market
